This is a Drop form vessel, meaning that a flat tile has been placed over a suspended hole and the middle of the tile has dropped and stretched to create a hollow form.
The initial tile has been made using 2 firings, the first layering up the colour and clear glass. After the drop forming process has finished the excess tile is cut from the vessel and shaped to leave it slightly matt.
