Base glass was cut to a circle and pieces of tiles that had previously been layered and fired multiple times on different axis were then added round the rim. On top of that a thicker layer of clear glass powder was added to even out the firing as well as create a level of opacity to the main plate body. After initial fusing was completed, the tile was then slumped to shape using the help of a mould.
