A Drop form vessel means exactly that; a flat tile has been placed over a suspended hole and the middle of the tile has dropped and stretched to create a hollow form.

The initial tiles for this were made using 2 firings, the first was a cast to create a greater layer of colour. The second was a full fuse adding the white to the inside. During the drop forming process the glass ‘ripped’ leaving this gorgeous open shape. After the drop forming process has finished the excess tile is cut from the vessel and shaped to leave it slightly matt.
