This delicate plate has been created using a variation of the technique Pate de Vere.
The deep colour of the green contrasts with the brightness of the clear glass, it’s like it’s been crafted from the ice on a fir tree from deep in the forest.

Clear glass powder was mixed with water and glue, then packed into a former (such as a mould). The colours were then individually packed to the desired design. This was then left to dry before being fired at a lower temperature.
